A leading international company in the food industry: Financial Controller
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze management reporting, including P&L, Cash Flow, and KPIs.
- Analyze deviations versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, providing actionable insights to the management team.
- Evaluate key business activities, profitability, and commercial performance.
- Identify and support cost-saving initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making.
- Participate in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor budget execution, cost control, and financial performance.
- Support financial planning and performance tracking.
- Coordinate and review the monthly closing process in collaboration with the accounting team.
- Ensure the timely delivery of monthly closing and reporting packages to Group HQ.
- Perform high-level reviews of balance sheet accounts, accruals, and provisions.
- Ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial information in compliance with IFRS and Greek GAAP.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance.
- Support treasury activities and maintain communication with banks and financial institutions.
- Contribute to working capital optimization initiatives.
- Support statutory, tax, and regulatory reporting in collaboration with external advisors.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting tools, and internal controls.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Postgraduate degree (MSc or MBA) will be considered an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial controlling, management reporting, or similar roles.
- Strong experience in management reporting, budgeting, and business performance analysis.
- Experience in FMCG, trading, or commercial environments will be considered an asset.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and Greek GAAP.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems.
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Business-oriented mindset with strong commercial awareness.
- Ability to work independently while effectively supporting senior management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, hands-on, and results-driven approach.
