Optimal, acting on behalf of a well established hospitality group , is currently seeking to recruit an Income Controller & Invoicing Auditor for its offices in Athens.

 

Scope of role:

The Income Controller / Invoicing Auditor (Corporate) supports the Income Auditors and Income Controllers based at the hotel and resort destinations. The role is responsible for safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of hotel revenue records by assisting with daily revenue audits, system reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assists the Income Auditors of destinations, in reviewing and verifying daily revenue transactions from all outlets (Rooms, F&B, Spa, Events, etc.)
  • Ensures all supporting documents, approvals, and backup reports are complete and in line with hotel SOPs.
  • Assists in training new staff on basic revenue procedures under the guidance of the Income Manager.
  • Dispute resolution: Resolves disputes and inconsistencies regarding pricing, payments, and billing with customers and partners.
  • Monitors payments received from travel agencies, corporate accounts, and online platforms.
  • Follows up with agencies on overdue or outstanding payments, maintaining accurate records of agency invoices, remittances, and correspondence.
  • Reviews aging of travel agents’ accounts, as well as advanced deposits (security allotment, EBD, Groups etc).
  • Αudit of travel agencies’ contracts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, such as income auditing, revenue control, reservations, or front office operations.
  • Computer literacy with advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Knowledge of Financial Concepts: Understanding of basic financial principles such as revenue, payments, credits, payment deadlines and debit accounts.
  • Ability to manage multiple processes at once, organize time efficiently and keep track of details.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports and draw conclusions from analyses.
  • Ability to work effectively with team members and collaborate with different departments of the business.
