We are seeking an analytical and driven Business Analyst to join our Business Management Strategic Planning & Operational Control Team within our Corporate & Investment Banking Division.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting strategic planning, business performance management, operational excellence, and data-driven decision making across the Corporate & Investment Banking Division. The role combines business analytics, performance monitoring, strategic planning, and process improvement, contributing to the successful execution of CIB strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collect, process, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative business data to support the strategic planning process and the CIB business plan.
- Monitor budgets, business objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify trends, investigate performance deviations, and provide actionable business recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, executive presentations, and strategic insights, translating complex analyses into clear and meaningful business conclusions.
- Support strategic planning activities by identifying business opportunities, performance improvement initiatives, and operational efficiencies across the CIB Division.
- Ensure the quality, consistency, integrity, and accuracy of business data and reporting while maintaining high standards of attention to detail and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Contribute to the design, review, and enhancement of business processes, operational controls, and internal policies, ensuring compliance with internal governance and regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities for system enhancements and automation that improve operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, and data quality.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across the Bank to successfully deliver strategic initiatives and business projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- A Master's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Analytics, MBA, or a related discipline will be considered an asset.
- Up to 4 years of experience in Business Analysis, Reporting, Budgeting, Performance Management, KPI Monitoring, or a similar analytical role will be considered an advantage.
- Experience within the banking sector, particularly Corporate & Investment Banking, will be considered a strong asset.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong experience in data analysis, reporting, and business performance monitoring.
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
