ITnova is seeking a skilled H-1Airframe / Hydraulic Mechanic (CDI) to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. In this role, you will perform routine aircraft maintenance while serving as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI), ensuring maintenance activities meet established quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting hydraulic and structural systems, conducting quality inspections throughout the maintenance process, and providing technical guidance to maintenance personnel. The ideal candidate has extensive rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience, a strong understanding of quality assurance principles, and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of aircraft safety, reliability, and mission readiness. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serves as a Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI) from the primary discipline of Airframes MOS 6154 during the contract period.
  • Performs routine aircraft maintenance functions. 
  • Maintainaircraft hydraulic and structural systems. 
  • Conductquality technical inspection of aircraftaircraft components, parts, repairs, and systems, including avionics, electrical, instrument, and armament systems, as required by functional assignment. 
  • Conductquality and safety inspections of on-site equipment, tools, vehicles, and support equipment used in aircraft maintenance. 
  • Performs initial, in-progress, and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul ofaircraft,aircraft components, and component parts. 
  • Providestechnical guidance, instructions, and interpretation of written instructions and procedures to mechanics as required to assure acceptable quality workmanship and flight line services. 
  • Assistsin preparation, processing, and response to Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDRs), as required. 
  • Conductcorrosion prevention and treatment. 
  • Perform carbon fiber, sheet metal, and composite repairs.
  • Operateaircraft towing equipment in towing operations, as required. 
  • Preventive maintenance inspections onaircraft and aircraft systems and subsystems. 
  • Troubleshooting, repair, modification, corrosion control, and preservation ofaircraft and aircraft subsystems, including fuel, oil, and hydraulic systems. 
  • Perform functional checks, inspections, and troubleshooting, asrequiredand trained. 
  • Completes maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA andrequiredforms, as required by job assignment. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Minimum of 5 years aviation maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years rotary-wing aviation experience.
  • Prior experience as a Collateral Duty Inspector on USMC UH-1 or AH-1aircraftfrom MOS 6154. 
  • Must be aU.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). 
  • Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
  • Have knowledge of the proper use of hand tools inaircraft maintenance. 
  • Demonstrateoperational knowledge of aircraftaircraft systems, engines, and component parts. 
  • Able to read and write, interpret, andcomply with aircraft maintenance procedures, manuals, specifications, directives, guides, and forms used on the job. 
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical manuals, and use measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and test equipment.
  • Demonstratedproficiency in carbon fiber and composite repairs. 
  • Must showproficiencyin the use of OOMA after assignment. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test asrequired.
  • Able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, asrequired.
  • Able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, asrequired. 
  • If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks. 
  • If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours. 
  • Able to perform confined space activities. 
  • Travel may be required.
