For a leading company in the oil and energy industry: Accounts Payable Supervisor
In this role, you will oversee the Accounts Payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of end-to-end RTP services in line with financial, tax, and internal control requirements. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize processes, support transformation initiatives, and promote operational excellence across multiple entities.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable team, ensuring strong performance and alignment with SLAs and KPIs.
- Distribute workloads effectively to maximize productivity and maintain service quality.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex operational and technical matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and the MoA.
- Review control reports and ensure that identified exceptions are resolved promptly.
- Oversee reconciliations and ensure the accurate management of open items.
- Supervise payment processing activities, ensuring compliance with banking cut-off times.
- Coordinate the smooth execution of payment cycles while considering both internal and external dependencies.
- Monitor, analyze, and report team KPIs with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and timely delivery.
- Promote continuous improvement through data analysis and performance insights.
- Support the implementation of systems, including SAP and automation solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and digitalization initiatives.
- Represent the Accounts Payable function in cross-functional projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Accounting.
- Previous experience of 2–3 years in a Team Leader role within an Accounting environment will be considered an advantage.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Excellent command of both Greek and English.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
