Job responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the compliance strategy and framework to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective execution of compliance activities.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices, and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and report findings to senior management and the board.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance across the organization.
- Oversee the development and delivery of compliance training programs to enhance awareness and understanding among employees.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and manage all compliance-related inquiries and audits.

Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CCEP) is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field within the financial services industry.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance best practices in the banking sector.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and provide practical solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
