Hotels & Hospitality Group - Vice President, Advisory Team

Position Overview

As Vice President of Hotels & Hospitality Group (HHG) Advisory team, you will provide strategic advisory services related to hotel and hospitality assets in the Japan market, supporting clients' investment decisions, asset strategies, and business optimization. You will drive business growth through the delivery of high-quality advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Advisory Services

• Provide clients with market trend analysis, investment opportunity assessments, and portfolio strategy recommendations and execution support for hotel and hospitality assets
• Conduct feasibility assessments for hotel development and redevelopment projects, and propose optimal operating structures
• Prepare and oversee market reports and research analysis reports, and deliver presentations to clients

Team Management & Business Development

• Project management: prioritize assignments, allocate resources, manage quality control, and oversee deadlines
• Share knowledge and establish best practices to enhance team expertise
• Expand business through new client acquisition and deepening relationships with existing clients
• Prepare proposals, deliver presentations, and negotiate contracts

Market Intelligence & Research

• Continuously analyze and forecast trends in Japan hotel market
• Comprehensively monitor macroeconomic indicators, travel trends, regulatory changes, competitive dynamics, and related factors
• Generate market insights through proprietary market research and data analysis
• Build relationships with industry associations, government agencies, and academic institutions to gather intelligence
• Prepare and disseminate market forecast reports, investment environment reports, and related materials
• Provide and share market information with internal and external stakeholders

Client Relations

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients
• Develop deep understanding of clients' business challenges and needs, and propose optimal solutions
• Coordinate and negotiate to ensure smooth project execution
• Enhance client satisfaction and generate repeat business

Key Relationships

Key Internal Relationships

• Provide regular reports to Head of Advisory and discuss business strategy
• Strengthen collaboration with other teams such as Asset Management and Investment Sales
• Share information and collaborate with the global HHG network, research teams, and advisory teams in other regions
• Coordinate with support functions including Finance, Legal, and Compliance

Key External Relationships

• Expand network with industry stakeholders including hotel operators, developers, and construction companies
• Maintain relationships with industry associations, government agencies, and media
• Participate in and speak at international real estate and hospitality conferences

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field
• 6+ years of professional experience in hotel and hospitality-related advisory, investment, asset management, or consulting
• Fluent in Japanese with at least conversational English ability

Technical Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of the hotel and hospitality industry and market insights
• Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and development
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling tools and data analysis tools
• Ability to create high-quality proposals and reports using PowerPoint and Word

Business Skills

• Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills
• Advanced presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively
• Client-oriented mindset, relationship-building capabilities, and networking skills
