Job Description

Compliance

Oversee and ensure adherence to Singapore Group policies, standards, and applicable local regulatory requirements across the organization:

• Provide advisory on policy interpretation, regulatory expectations, and implementation requirements to relevant UCOE accountable parties.
• Maintain and oversee the regulatory monitoring framework, ensuring accountable parties effectively monitor, assess, and respond to regulatory developments, and adhere to defined framework requirements and timelines.
• Exercise oversight to ensure accountable functions effectively discharge their responsibilities in complying with policies and regulatory requirements, including regulatory reporting and engagements where required.

Assurance

Provide independent oversight of the effectiveness of risk management and control environments.

• Develop and drive the annual assurance plan, aligned with Singapore (SG) Group priorities and Technology & Operations Group Audit (TOGA) expectations.
• Execute assurance activities in line with the approved plan to assess control effectiveness and identify gaps.
• Own and coordinate external reviews (including audits) on UCOE (“home”) and support Singapore-led reviews involving UCOE (“away”), ensuring effective engagement and timely responses.
• Oversee and track timely closure of all action plans arising from external reviews.

Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on compliance and assurance matters.
• Provide practical, solution-oriented guidance to support business decision‑making within risk appetite.
• Engage with Singapore (SG) Group and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in framework execution.
• Drive risk culture and awareness, including communication of key risk themes, expectations, and lessons learnt across the organisation.
• Oversee and coordinate risk communications, ensuring timely, clear, and consistent messaging on risk matters to relevant stakeholders.

Key Requirements :-

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline, with relevant professional qualifications (e.g. Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk Management) preferred.
• Typically, 10 years of relevant experience, including experience in compliance, assurance, audit, or risk governance functions within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in compliance and assurance frameworks, including regulatory compliance, internal controls, audit/assurance methodologies, and governance practices.
• Proven experience in internal and/or external audit, and/or compliance oversight within banking operations, shared services, contact centre, or processing environments.
• Experience working within Group-led / matrix environments, with exposure to regulatory frameworks and cross-border governance expectations.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute assurance plans, coordinate audits/reviews, and drive timely remediation of findings.
• Strong capability to influence stakeholders and enforce compliance discipline, ensuring accountable functions meet policy and regulatory obligations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate regulatory and control requirements into practical, business-aligned actions.
