Join us as a Systems Business Analyst 

Location: Kraków

Hybrid model: Hybrid model 3 days per week in the office /2 days for a parent of a child up to 4 years old

Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting a Systems Business Analyst to join one of our Information Technology teams. In this role, you will function as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders. You will interpret business needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements and specifications, while actively participating in solution design, development, testing, and production deployments. You will work as part of a highly collaborative team focused on delivering innovative solutions to complex business problems. The successful candidate will help identify, define, analyze, and improve both legacy and emerging systems and software solutions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving the development and adoption of IT solutions that support business transformation and operational excellence.

Some of your key responsibilities include:

• Participate in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities.
• Participate in the Product Roadmap definition process.
• Maintain and prioritize items in the Product Backlog. o Analyze business requirements and create functional specifications for application developers, including data modeling, data flow diagramming, screen design, and workflow analysis.
• Provide requirement clarification and support to stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, estimation, and sprint demo sessions as needed.
• Validate that delivered features meet business and functional requirements.
• Foster effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned business applications and business lines.
• Act as a systems project coordinator for assigned initiatives, partnering with project managers and technical leads to track milestones, ensure SDLC compliance, manage change requests, and support production deployments.
• Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to define solution requirements, success criteria, and measurable business outcomes.

Desired Qualifications: 

• Strong analytical skills.
• Exceptional structured thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
• SQL: ability to read, understand, and write SQL queries.
• Knowledge of Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologies.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Fluent English.
• Exposure to software development, database design, system integrations, APIs, and cloud technologies is preferred.
