The Sr. Client Service Representative in the Global Fund Services Dept. oversees the Fund Accounting and Administration, Transfer Agency and Custody activities of cross-border funds distributed to Japanese investors.   The individual is responsible for day-to-day servicing as a primary contact for assigned clients including institutional investors, asset managers, distributors and trust banks.

Responsibilities:

Client Service

• Proactively respond to client inquiries and provide filtering for escalation
• Assist in coordination of new fund and product implementations and conversions
• Work effectively with internal teams to prioritize client requests, deliverables and issue resolution
• Execute reviews of internal reporting for assigned client relationships and promptly escalate issues identified
• Utilize relevant internal technology solutions to effectively manage client inquiries
• Introduce and familiarize clients with new technology, automation tools and product
• Participate in scheduled client meetings

Risk & Control

• Ensure adherence to all established procedures, controls, and best practices

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree
• 1 to 3 years of financial industry experience (client servicing focused environment is preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills both in Japanese and English
• Strong attention to details
• Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve client needs
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external client relationships
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems
• Basic understanding of financial instruments
• Basic understanding of market participants in fund services business
• Fund accounting knowledge is preferred
• Comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
