OVERVIEW
The Supply Planner is responsible for in-season supply planning to ensure the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand. This role translates demand forecasts into executable supply plans balancing cost, capacity, lead times, and vendor constraints in a fast-paced apparel environment
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in supply or production planning, inventory optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. They will partner closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Buying, Raw Materials, Production, Logistics, and global vendor partners to deliver seasonal collections and replenishment programs on time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with Product Development, Production, Raw Materials, Buying, Merchandising, and Logistics teams to support the timely delivery of seasonal collections and replenishment programs.
- Translate unconstrained demand into actionable supply plans considering cost, capacity, lead times, MOQ, raw materials, and vendor constraints.
- Manage and maintain supply plans throughout the season, identifying risks, gaps, and opportunities early.
- Monitor supply chain performance metrics, including forecast accuracy, lead-time adherence, vendor service level (VSL), on-time performance (OTP), and drive corrective actions when performance falls below target.
- Lead monthly supply planning meetings to align stakeholders on feasible production plans, capacity limitations, inventory risks, and needed action.
- Partner with global vendors and manufacturers to understand capacity, resolve bottlenecks, and improve delivery performance.
- Develop supply scenarios and contingency plans to mitigate disruptions related to capacity, materials, transportation, quality, or changing demand.
- Conduct what-if analyses to assess the business impact of changes in demand, capacity, or sourcing strategy.
- Monitor product lifecycle milestones, including new-product launches, replenishment, carryover, phase-out, and end-of-life transitions.
- Ensure planning data is accurate and current within planning and ERP systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years in supply planning, production planning, inventory planning, or a related function; apparel, fashion, footwear, or consumer-goods experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of global supply chains, seasonal buying cycles, apparel production processes, and fashion lead times.
- Advanced Excel; experience with complex data sets and ad hoc analysis.
- Proficiency with planning software such as SAP, Oracle, JDA/Blue Yonder, or Anaplan.
- Experience working with ERP and PLM systems.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven seasonal environment.
The base salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
