The Role

The Advisor Experience team builds bespoke solutions for financial advisors to grow and sustain their business, starting with a new secure messaging experience. As a Senior Software Engineer with a frontend emphasis, you will be the primary owner of the team’s user interface layer — crafting modern, performant, and intuitive experiences that financial advisors rely on daily. You will lead frontend architecture decisions, build and maintain component systems, and collaborate closely with Product Design to translate complex advisor workflows into elegant, accessible interfaces.

While your primary impact will be on the frontend, you will work across the full stack as needed to deliver complete features and integrate with backend services and APIs.

What You’ll Do

• Lead frontend development for the Advisor Experience Secure Messaging product, building rich, performant user interfaces using modern web frameworks.
• Design and maintain scalable frontend architecture, including component libraries, state management patterns, and client-side data layer integration.
• Partner closely with Product Design to translate wireframes and prototypes into polished, accessible interfaces that delight users.
• Integrate frontend experiences with backend APIs and services, collaborating with backend engineers to define optimal API contracts.
• Champion frontend best practices including accessibility, performance optimization, responsive design, and automated testing.

Who You Are

• You have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• You have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with most of that time focused on frontend development.
• You have deep experience with at least one modern frontend framework (React, Svelte, Vue, or similar) and genuine curiosity about how they work under the hood. Experience with Ember.js migration is a strong plus.
• You've built and maintained component libraries, design systems, or shared UI infrastructure — you care about reusable, well-structured code that other engineers actually want to use.
• You're comfortable navigating a backend codebase when needed — reading and contributing to server-side code in Java, Node.js, or similar.
• You have a strong intuition for frontend performance and know how to diagnose and resolve issues across the rendering and bundling pipeline.
• You're familiar with AI-assisted development workflows and see them as a natural part of how modern software gets built.
• Experience with real-time data, messaging infrastructure, or rich interactive experiences is a plus — especially if you've worked with web sockets or streaming APIs.
• You have a background or strong interest in fintech, wealth management, or financial advisor workflows.
