Senior Manager, Cash & Liquidity Management - APAC is responsible for leading cash management and liquidity activities across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring optimal deployment, protection, and centralization of Alcon's cash resources. The role serves as the primary Treasury representative for the region, driving liquidity optimization, cash forecasting, banking strategy, and balance sheet efficiency while supporting business growth and financial objectives.

This position partners closely with Global Treasury, Regional Finance, Tax, Financial Accounting, External Reporting, AGS teams, and local finance organizations to execute cash management strategies, maintain strong banking relationships, support funding decisions, and deliver Treasury-related transformation initiatives.

Additionally, the Senior Manager is responsible for strengthening Treasury governance, supporting acquisition integrations, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, and driving continuous improvement across Treasury operations within the APAC region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Service Deliveries

• Act as the primary Treasury business partner for APAC markets, providing strategic guidance on cash management and liquidity optimization.
• Develop and execute regional liquidity strategies, including cash pooling structures and liquidity frameworks that enhance capital efficiency and support business growth.
• Oversee daily cash position reporting and partner with Treasury stakeholders on funding and investment decisions.
• Prepare and manage weekly cash flow forecasts to improve cash visibility and forecasting accuracy across entities within scope.
• Support intercompany funding activities, including borrowings, repayments, and internal dividend distributions.
• Lead banking structure optimization initiatives to improve operational efficiency, cash visibility, and liquidity management capabilities.
• Manage Treasury-related projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic transformation activities across the region.

Manage Day-to-Day Activities

• Oversee administration of regional bank accounts, including account opening and closure, user access management, authorized signatories, and banking services maintenance.
• Monitor regional cash positions and execute activities that ensure sufficient liquidity while optimizing idle cash balances.
• Manage banking relationships and conduct periodic bank reviews to support Treasury objectives and service excellence.
• Collaborate with local finance teams and Treasury colleagues to support business operations and resolve Treasury-related issues.
• Champion Treasury integration activities for acquisitions, ensuring smooth onboarding to Alcon Treasury processes, banking structures, and liquidity frameworks.
• Monitor Treasury KPIs, cash forecasting accuracy, cash optimization targets, and control effectiveness across the region.
• Support investment management and funding activities in accordance with Treasury policies and risk management requirements.

Compliance

• Ensure adherence to Treasury operational policies, procedures, and local Treasury governance requirements.
• Maintain a robust internal control environment across cash management and banking activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements, including banking and Treasury controls.
• Monitor counterparty exposures and ensure compliance with approved credit and risk limits.
• Support internal and external audit activities and address findings through effective remediation plans.
• Maintain accurate and auditable Treasury records, documentation, and reporting processes.
• Promote a culture of compliance, risk awareness, and continuous improvement throughout Treasury operations.

People Management

• Mentor and develop junior Treasury associates while promoting knowledge sharing and professional growth.
• Foster strong partnerships with global, regional, and local stakeholders across Finance and business functions.
• Drive collaboration across Treasury and Finance teams to deliver strategic priorities and business objectives.
• Support organizational change initiatives and Treasury transformation programs.
• Champion Treasury best practices and strengthen Treasury's visibility and value within the organization.
• Demonstrate leadership through accountability, stakeholder engagement, sound judgment, and decision-making.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Education

(Minimum/Desirable)

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Cash Manager (CCM), or equivalent Treasury certification is an advantage.

Languages

• Fluent in written and spoken English (mandatory).
• Additional regional language capabilities are an advantage.

Experience

• 8-10 years of progressive experience in Treasury, Cash Management, Corporate Finance, or related functions.
• Proven experience managing regional cash management and liquidity activities within a multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of Treasury operations, liquidity management, cash forecasting, and banking structures.
• Experience supporting intercompany funding, banking management, and Treasury controls.
• Experience working within complex, matrixed multinational organizations.
• Exposure to M&A integrations, Treasury transformation programs, or finance process improvement initiatives is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of cash management, liquidity planning, and Treasury operations.
• Experience with SAP, FIS Integrity, banking portals, and Treasury Management Systems.
• Advanced analytical, forecasting, and financial modeling skills.
• Strong understanding of Treasury accounting principles and financial controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
