Sr Business Analyst - Workday

As an Sr Business Analyst, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, closely partnered with business stakeholders as part of project teams utilizing the Agile / Waterfall methodologies to deliver new capabilities and business value.  You will configure, develop, maintain and support Micron applications.  You will participate in new functionality estimation, analysis, design and development of application requirements by working closely with the Human Resources stakeholders and other members of the team. Demonstrate the necessary functional skillset beyond Workday technology.

Responsibilities and Tasks: 

·       Support the HCM work stream driving towards decisions and recommending best practices related to Workday functionality

·       Identify strategies, risks, and options, recommend approaches and mitigations to meet functional requirements

·       Configure and test the Workday system

·       Researching and resolving day to day Workday issues  

·       Work with Business teams to support the new requirements in Workday  

·       Creating and Updating Workday configurations based on requirement changes  

·       Analyze Workday Updates and provide recommendations to Business 

·       Provide support for Payroll processes, posting, bank transfer and pay checks in Workday  

·       Provide support for year-end activities, Legal and regulatory reports in Workday  

·       Provide support for various Payroll interfaces in Workday  

·       Provide support to core HCM application  

·       Provide the Project Manager with status updates and keep them apprised with regular status updates.  

·       Work within cross-functional teams (HR areas, Project teams, PMO) to drive successful deployments 

·       Strong systems thinking and problem-solving capability 

·       Self-motivated and outcome oriented 

·       Capability to build strong rapport with customer groups 

·       Experience in collaborating with team members to drive results 

·       Ability to work independently with short deadlines 

·       Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) 

AI Proficiency:

• Ability to apply AI capabilities to analyze Workday business processes, configuration, reporting, integrations, and operational issues.
• Experience leveraging AI to develop test scenarios, positive/negative test cases, regression coverage, and release-impact analysis.
• Working knowledge of AI agents, workflow automation, APIs/MCP concepts, and opportunities to integrate AI with enterprise platforms such as Workday.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy, security, access controls, and appropriate handling of sensitive HR/employee information when using AI tools.
• Ability to critically validate AI-generated recommendations and maintain human accountability for configuration, design, testing, and production decisions.

  Qualifications and Experience: 

·       Minimum of 5 years of direct, hands-on experience in Workday.

·       Workday Certification

·       Hands-on Workday experience in Core HCM, Rec, onboarding, Time & Absence, Compensation

·       3+ years of HCM experience, most recently in a Senior Analyst, Consultant, or similar level role.

·       Experience or knowledge on Learning and Benefits of WD.

·       Deep understanding of Human Resources Processes and Master Data.

Education: 

B.Tech./M.Tech./MCA/B.S./B.B.A. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or industry-related curriculum or equivalent work experience
