The Heli Sales Specialist is responsible for driving new business growth by converting inbound and marketing-generated leads into new heli skiing and summer guests. This role plays a crucial part in representing two iconic heli skiing brands—CMH Heli Skiing & Summer Adventures and Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing (MWHS)—and presenting them as a complementary portfolio of world class mountain experiences.

As a product expert across both brands, the Heli Sales Specialist guides prospective guests through available programs, terrain types, lodge experiences, and seasonal opportunities. This role is focused exclusively on new guest acquisition, providing clear recommendations and helping clients confidently choose the right experience from our portfolio of heli ski or heli-hiking experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead Conversion & New Guest Acquisition

  • Respond to inbound leads from both CMH and MWHS channels, applying a consultative approach to understand guest preferences, skill level, and travel motivations.
  • Convert qualified leads into confirmed bookings through expert guidance, tailored recommendations, and high‑touch communication.
  • Present both CMH heli-skiing and heli-hiking as well as MWHS helicopter skiing offerings as a unified portfolio, highlighting each brand’s unique strengths, terrain, culture, and lodge experiences.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly and seasonal goals for new guest bookings and revenue generation.

Brand & Product Expertise

  • Maintain deep knowledge of all CMH and MWHS programs, including ski and heli-hiking programs, terrain characteristics, tenure differences, lodge environments, group formats, safety programs, and seasonal nuances.
  • Clearly articulate why each brand or program may be the best fit based on guest goals, ski ability, group makeup, and preferred experience style.
  • Serve as an authoritative and enthusiastic ambassador for both brands.

Consultative Sales & Experience Guidance

  • Guide prospective guests through the decision-making process with clarity, confidence, and empathy—especially those new to heli‑skiing or heli-hiking.
  • Provide detailed information on preparation, packing, safety protocols, travel logistics, and skill requirements.
  • Position the heli‑skiing and heli-hiking experience as accessible, exciting, and personalized.
  • Qualify the ski ability of prospective guests to ensure that they are booked at the correct lodge or in most suitable program.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Track all sales activities, lead interactions, deal stages, and follow‑up tasks in the CRM system.
  • Maintain accurate and current leads and report on pipeline health, lead quality, and conversion performance.
  • Ensure that handoffs to Guest Experience teams are smooth, accurate and timely.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Work with the Manager, Heli Sales to provide insights on lead quality, campaign performance, and guest behavior across both brands.
  • Collaborate with Guest Experience Advisors to ensure seamless onboarding of newly booked guests.

All employees will support the implementation of CMH health and safety and sustainability initiatives and participate in training and provide assistance as required during emergency response situations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional sales or guest services setting working with a CRM.
  • 3+ years of experience in the luxury hospitality, ski or adventure travel industry

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualities

All CMH employees will demonstrate integrity, discretion, and critical thinking, along with adaptability and effective problem-solving skills. A positive, collaborative working style is essential, with the ability to build meaningful relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic planning abilities are crucial. The candidate must be able to communicate clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn other relevant software platforms are important, as is the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating seasonal workloads and changing priorities. The role requires a trustworthy, goal-oriented, respectful, and self-directed individual who can navigate complex responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate must have the confidence to interact with all levels of the company, including those in remote locations within a hub-and-spoke model.
