SOFTWARE ENGINEER SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
The Software Engineer shall be responsible for developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems in a Linux environment.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Software Engineer Senior must have:
● Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience

● Security clearance required: TS/SCI w/ Polygraph
● Position Required Skills:

    Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
    Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
    Recent software development experience using Python
    Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools including GitLab CI 
    Familiar with Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies
    Experience with Git Source Control System

● Position Desired Skills:

    Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment
    Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, PodMan, containerd
    Experience with Secret Management tools including HashiCorp Vault
    Familiar with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions including Keycloak  
    Familiar with Datacenter Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools including Netbox
    Familiar with Observability and Analytics platform solutions such as Splunk
    Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

The likely salary range for this position is $152,150 - $205,850. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
