Job Title: Social Worker – MASH / Front Door Team
Location: South Tyneside (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: £32.58 per hour 

Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join a MASH / Front Door Team based in South Tyneside. This is a non-case-holding role within a busy Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub, offering flexible hours and hybrid working to support work-life balance. Prior MASH experience is preferred. You’ll be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing referrals and ensuring timely, effective safeguarding decisions for children and families.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Screen and assess incoming referrals to identify risks and determine appropriate next steps.
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to share information and ensure coordinated safeguarding responses.
• Apply professional judgment to make threshold decisions in line with statutory guidance and local procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality reporting for safeguarding purposes.
• Participate in team discussions and reflective practice sessions to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• Social Work England registration 
• Eligible to work in the UK 
• Hold a full UK driving licence 
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
