As a Social Media Specialist on our Marketing team, you will be the primary voice and digital bridge connecting KOMODO’s expanding catalog of Japanese indie manga, games, and entertainment products with English-speaking fans worldwide.

We are looking for someone genuinely immersed in gaming and Japanese Otaku culture who possesses a deep appreciation for the indie manga scene. In this role, you will leverage your authentic enthusiasm for both gaming and manga—along with your keen understanding of what draws Western audiences to Japanese entertainment—to craft social experiences that truly resonate. Whether connecting with manga enthusiasts or engaging learners drawn to Japanese culture and language through manga, you know how to spark meaningful conversations across platforms like X, Discord, Instagram, and TikTok.

If you are a native or native-level English speaker with an organic pulse on Western internet culture, meme vernacular, and Otaku trends, this is your opportunity to represent creators, build an active global fandom, and shape how Japanese indie manga reaches the world!

担当業務 | Responsibilities

• X、Instagram、TikTok、YouTube、Discord等の公式アカウントの企画・運用
• コンテンツカレンダーの作成、投稿の制作ディレクションとスケジュール管理
• デザイナー・動画エディターと連携したSNSコンテンツの企画・制作進行
• フォロワーやコミュニティとのエンゲージメント(リプライ対応、UGCの活用等)
• SNSキャンペーンの企画・実行、インフルエンサーやクリエイターとの連携
• KPI設定、効果測定、分析レポートの作成と改善施策の立案
• SNS上のトレンドやコミュニティの声のモニタリングと社内共有

• Plan and operate official accounts on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, and other platforms
• Build content calendars, direct post production, and manage publishing schedules
• Plan and produce social content in collaboration with designers and video editors
• Engage with followers and communities (replies, leveraging UGC, etc.)
• Plan and execute social campaigns; coordinate with influencers and creators
• Set KPIs, measure performance, and produce analysis reports with improvement proposals
• Monitor social trends and community sentiment, and share insights internally

応募資格 | Requirements

• 企業・ブランドの公式SNSアカウント運用の実務経験(目安3年以上)
• コンテンツ企画から投稿・分析・改善までを自走できる運用スキル
• SNS分析ツールを用いた効果測定・レポーティングの経験
• ゲーム・マンガ・エンタメへの強い関心と、コミュニティ文化への理解
• 日本語: 日常会話レベル、国内オフィスメンバーと意思疎通ができる 
• 英語：母国語レベル

• Hands-on experience running official brand social media accounts (approx. 3+ years)
• Ability to independently drive the full cycle: planning, posting, analysis, and iteration
• Experience with social analytics tools for measurement and reporting
• Strong interest in games, manga, and entertainment, with an understanding of community culture
• English: Native level
• Japanese:Conversational level (ability to communicate smoothly with local team members in Japan, and follow/understand otaku culture and trends on social media)

• SNS広告の運用経験
• 簡単な画像・動画編集スキル(Canva、CapCut、Photoshop等)

• Community management experience (e.g., Discord)
• Experience running paid social campaigns
• Basic image/video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Photoshop, etc.)
• English communication skills (working with overseas teams, global-facing posts)
