The Role and Responsibilities
You will be tasked with assisting the Group Tax Reporting & Compliance Manager with the preparation of all corporate income tax compliance and tax reporting obligations globally, including:
- Direct accountability for controlling EnerMech’s global tax compliance monitoring system in collaboration with third party service providers.
- Direct accountability for preparing the tax provisions, including the first draft of the group consolidation, across all group entities and resolving any inconsistencies.
- Accountable for tax input into all UK only tenders, and assisting the international tax manager on international tenders.
- Assisting the tax team globally on other ad hoc projects, and duties. In particular accountable for ensuring that the group head office transfer pricing policies are correctly implemented.
- Accountable for first review of Global tax returns and computations including all associated schedules and working papers, in line with EnerMech’s Global tax compliance process.
You will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the preparation of the first draft of all group reporting work papers.
- Collaborating with group and local finance teams to resolve any inconsistencies in order to get comfortable with the local tax positions for filing and reporting purposes
- Advise on UK corporate tax implications of business tenders and operations.
- Review head office managements fees, service charges and profit split to ensure in line with group policies.
- Responsible for the maintenance of HMRC online portal account and other online tax authority’s portal accounts.
- Support with global tax administration.
- Assisting the global tax director and the international tax manager on an ad hoc basis where required.
- Coordination and preparation of group tax monthly report.
You are?
Essential
- Accounting degree quailed
- Holding a recognised professional tax and / or accountancy qualification
- At least 7 year’s relevant tax experience demonstrating growth in responsibilities
- Demonstrable international tax experience gained within either top 10 accountancy practice or international business environment, with UK tax knowledge.
Preferred
- Senior tax experience within international organisations.
- Being a self starter, with experience working in a small team
- 7 years plus PQE
