ABOUT THE TEAM
Connected Warfare (CW): The Connected Warfare simulaivision builds systems to support global command and control missions. We create joint, time sensitive, multi domain, ubiquitous, connected mesh ecosystems. Our ecosystem enables connected warfare with disproportional impact by connecting every mac robot, human, and sensor in every domain, bringing together hundreds of thousands of end points across the globe. We are the substrate that provides the source of truth for time sensitive decision, effectively transforming the way that militaries close kills chains and enable mission autonomy.
Warfighter Systems (WS): Warfighter Systems brings cutting-edge technology directly to those on the front lines. Wearable tech, immersive mission command tools, and seamlessly integrated software and hardware create an ecosystem that enhances situational awareness, survivability, and combat effectiveness. From training to battlefield operations, Anduril’s Warfighter Systems organization designs tools that move at the speed of war, ensuring that soldiers are better connected, more lethal, and more resilient.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the development and optimization of a tactical edge client across Android mobile and Linux in-vehicle systems. In this role, you will own application performance on resource-constrained hardware, collaborate closely with product and platform teams, and mentor junior engineers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Flutter/Dart: widget lifecycle, rebuild cost, platform channels, multi-platform builds
- Reactive state management: Riverpod, Redux, Rx, Combine; MVVM
- Performance: Flutter DevTools, systrace/perfetto, frame budgets, memory & GPU analysis, startup time and battery management
- Android: process and activity lifecycle, foreground services, doze/background limits,
permissions, ANRs, adb/logcat - Linux: system services, filesystem and permissions, packaging, shell
- Networking: gRPC streaming, TLS and trust stores, reconnection/backoff, offline-first, degraded-link behavior
- Architecture: best practices on large codebases, one-way dependencies, unit and widget test discipline
- Must Be Clearance Eligible
- Able to travel up to 25%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Geospatial: map rendering, tile pipelines (MBTiles, raster/vector), coordinate systems, terrain elevation
- Experience using Kubernetes
- SDK/API design: versioning, backward compatibility, deprecation, docs and samples
- Native interop: Kotlin/MethodChannels, JNI, FFI, ObjC++
- TypeScript: WebView bridges, OpenLayers
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
