Job Description

The Senior Software Engineer designs and delivers complex software solutions for MMS Software Solutions across application, platform, cloud, and device domains. This role serves as a technical leader within an Agile team, drives design decisions, mentors engineers, and resolves complex technical challenges in a regulated healthcare environment. The Senior Software Engineer independently translates customer, business, system, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements into scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and implement complex software services, APIs, cloud services, integrations, and user-facing applications. 

• Lead software design discussions, code reviews, and technical reviews within the assigned product domain. 

• Drive development of scalable, secure, observable, resilient, and supportable platform capabilities. 

• Design and optimize integrations among cloud services, edge devices, inventory systems, enterprise platforms, and customer-facing APIs. 

• Define automated-testing approaches and improve unit, integration, system, and regression-test coverage. 

• Lead defect investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective technical actions. 

• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, troubleshooting, and technical coaching. 

• Manage technical dependencies across multiple teams and contribute to architecture evolution and modernization. 

• Support release readiness, cybersecurity assessments, risk analysis, verification, validation, and regulatory evidence.

• Security & compliance: Snyk • Mend • software risk management • design controls

Minimum Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in software development

• Demonstrated experience delivering production-quality software systems. 

• Strong knowledge of software design, APIs, data structures, distributed-system concepts, testing, debugging, and source-control practices. 

• Ability to communicate decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to technical and cross-functional stakeholders. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Healthcare technology or medical-device software experience. 

• Kubernetes and cloud-native SaaS development experience. 

• Experience supporting cybersecurity or regulatory submissions. 

• Experience with identity and access management, telemetry, and production-support practices. 

Expected Scope 

• Owns major features, services, subsystems, or technically complex workflows. 

• Makes design decisions within a product team or defined technical domain. 

• Coordinates implementation across engineers and adjacent teams. 

• Independently manages substantial ambiguity and delivery risk.
