À propos de ce poste Senior Performance Lead - Everyday Products chez Commonwealth Bank of Australia

Commonwealth Bank of Australia · Hybride · Sydney CBD Area

Our business

CommBank is recognised as leading the industry in technology and operations, with world-class platforms and processes, agile infrastructure and innovation across payments, internet banking and mobile experiences. Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, delivering banking products and services to personal and small business customers.

Within RBS, Everyday Banking (EDB) manages the development and delivery of everyday banking products, including transaction accounts, savings and term deposits, as well as the Open Banking agenda. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Everyday Products (EDP) Crew.

Your team

The Retail Banking Portfolio Optimisation team exists to optimise decision-making for the Retail Leadership Team and help build a brighter future for all. The team is focused on continuously improving strategic and quarterly planning, performance oversight, financial governance and workforce management. It is also actively involved in shaping the future of performance management across the Group, including the design and implementation of tooling. We have a culture of fun, learning and continuous growth.

Your role

As a Senior Performance Lead in Everyday Products, you will be a trusted strategic partner to Crew, Product and Technology leaders, connecting strategy to execution to drive measurable customer and business outcomes. You will orchestrate planning and prioritisation, translate performance and delivery data into actionable insights, strengthen governance and execution discipline, and provide strategic advice that enables effective decisions across investment, workforce, risk and delivery.

Your impact

You will be part of the Retail Bank’s Performance Chapter and play a critical role in connecting strategy, planning and execution across Everyday Products. Working alongside senior leaders, you will provide the insight, constructive challenge and orchestration required to sharpen priorities, improve execution and ensure investment and capacity are focused on delivering the greatest customer and business outcomes.

Success in this role means clear and credible capacity-informed commitments, trusted and decision-useful performance insight, and timely interventions with clear ownership and follow-through. You will help make customer priorities explicit in OKRs, plans and trade-offs, while balancing delivery, risk and financial commitments.

More specifically, you will:

  • Orchestrate annual and quarterly planning and prioritisation, translating customer and strategic priorities into clear, outcome-focused and capacity-informed Crew commitments, OKRs, initiatives and roadmaps.
  • Drive outcome-focused performance management, maintaining a trusted view of OKRs, delivery flow, risks, issues, dependencies and workforce, and using these signals to identify root causes, forecast risks and recommend measurable interventions.
  • Provide strategic insight and decision support to Crew and Domain leaders by framing options, trade-offs and clear recommendations that connect investment, delivery and customer outcomes.
  • Lead decision-focused performance and governance rhythms, including Crew performance forums, ensuring the right conversations, decisions, escalations and interventions occur with clear ownership and follow-through.
  • Connect strategy, investment and workforce, providing current and forward-looking visibility of capacity, capability, resources, costs and headcount implications to support prioritisation and achievable delivery decisions.
  • Orchestrate complex cross-Domain and cross-BU dependencies, proactively surfacing risks, issues, carry-over work and roadblocks, and bringing the right stakeholders together to enable timely resolution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance and execution, using performance and flow insights, structured problem solving, coaching, reusable assets and responsible AI and data use to improve delivery practices, tooling and Performance craft.
  • Strengthen execution discipline and delivery assurance, embedding relevant governance, controls, delivery standards and enterprise delivery pathways into planning and performance rhythms, while escalating material items early and driving actions to closure.

Your skills and experience

  • Strategic thinking and problem solving: Strong strategic and systems-thinking capability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, diagnose root causes and solve complex problems.
  • Planning and performance expertise: Demonstrated experience shaping outcome-focused OKRs, plans and commitments, and measuring progress against customer and business outcomes.
  • Analytical capability and judgement: Ability to interpret complex performance, delivery, workforce, financial and risk information, identify emerging signals and translate insight into practical recommendations.
  • Leadership and influence: Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence senior stakeholders, constructively challenge thinking and create alignment across diverse teams.
  • Communication and facilitation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues, develop executive-level materials and lead decision-focused forums and workshops.
  • Commercial and customer acumen: Strong understanding of customer and product value drivers, investment choices and the financial, workforce and delivery trade-offs required to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Delivery and transformation experience: Experience across delivery, strategy and planning, transformation, performance, project or portfolio management, process improvement and/or consulting in a complex organisation.
  • Risk mindset: Sound understanding of risk management, governance and compliance, with the judgement to balance customer, delivery, financial and risk outcomes.
  • Digital, AI and data literacy: Confidence using data, digital tools and responsible AI to improve insight, productivity, decision-making and reusable performance practices.
  • Outcome orientation: Curious, pragmatic and adaptable, with a strong focus on turning insight into measurable improvement and driving decisions and actions to closure.
  • Experience profile: Extensive experience across delivery, strategy and planning, transformation, performance or consulting. Experience in financial services is highly regarded.
