Senior/ Lead Hydraulic Services Engineer – Building Services

What you’ll do
As a senior hydraulic engineer in our building team based in Brisbane, you’ll contribute to exciting and transformative projects across diverse sectors including aviation, health, defence, data centres and major event infrastructure. You'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality engineering outcomes while working within a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
You will:
Lead the delivery of hydraulic services design packages across mid to large scale projects
Advise clients on complex engineering projects from concept to delivery
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated and practical design solutions
Support project coordination, delivery and reporting, ensuring quality outcomes for clients
Build and maintain client relationships through consistent delivery and communication
Contribute to a team culture that is collaborative and supportive
This is a delivery‑focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on in projects while continuing to build their leadership and client capability.
What you’ll bring

- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Chartered, RPQ, QBCC registered, or actively working toward an equivalent professional accreditation.
- Demonstrated experience in hydraulic building services design within a consulting, contractor, or client-side environment.
- Strong technical capability across hydraulic services including water supply, sanitary drainage, stormwater systems, and central hot water plant design.
- Experience taking ownership of design delivery, coordination, and client interaction.
- Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
- An enthusiasm to support business development activities and continue building your professional reputation.
- A track record of delivering practical, impactful outcomes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership and drive outcomes.
