As a Senior Field Service Technician in Robotics, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and service to our customers.
You will perform installations, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
The work model for the role is: Onsite
This role is contributing to the Field Service Robotics in Mississauga, Ontario.
Responsibilities:
Applying safety rules and safe practices, as well as environmental responsibilities during all service activities.
Leading Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) activities at customer sites and reporting unsafe practices and incidents to ensure a safe working environment.
Identifying new service business opportunities in close cooperation with customers and ABB teams.
Coaching technicians and engineers, and supervising complex site activities and developing, mentoring, and providing technical guidance to colleagues. Acting as a trainer when needed, for both team members and customers.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial robotics, with strong hands-on knowledge of robot programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance.
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues to restore the functionality of robots and robotic systems in a timely manner.
Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to independently manage on-site service visits, build customer relationships, and identify opportunities for technical improvements.
Experience coordinating service activities, including logistics, spare parts management, detailed service reporting, and the accurate use of company IT systems to document support and service work.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders; French language skills are considered an asset.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety, integrity, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $90,000 and $120,000 annually and is bonus eligible.
