Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Engineer – MEP to join our team! The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible in the areas of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, focusing primarily on HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) including developing polices, standards, inspection procedures, and evaluation tools for MEP matters involving judicial branch facilities. Coordinates for activities such as plumbing, Fire Protection and Electrical engineering as part of the project requirement and ensure compliance based on the standard and statutory requirements. Experience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred due to their specialized and complex nature.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the development of MEP systems for the projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client requirements.
- Manage MEP aspects of projects from conception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with other disciplines and stakeholders.
- Review, validate, and approve HVAC system designs, load calculations, equipment selections, and technical submissions.
- Ensure MEP/HVAC design compliance with local codes (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, or local authority regulations).
- Provide technical guidance and expertise in MEP systems design, installation, and operation, resolving complex engineering challenges as they arise.
- Ensure the quality and integrity of MEP designs and installations through thorough reviews, inspections, and testing protocols.
- Lead and mentor a team of MEP engineers and designers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring high standards of performance.
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to procure MEP equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedules.
- Identify potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding MEP systems, addressing their concerns, and providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing MEP systems design, installation, and operation.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in MEP engineering, implementing innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Professional certificate in MMUP Engineer Registration (UPDA) is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering, focusing on construction oversight.
- Experience in stadium or large public venue projects is strongly preferred
- Experience in PMC roles is preferred.
- Mastery of engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling software for designing and analyzing MEP systems.

- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.
