Job Description
The Senior Control Hardware Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, validation, and lifecycle support of industrial motor control and variable frequency drive products. You will collaborate with engineering teams to develop reliable and cost-effective hardware solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.

This position reports to the Development Engineering Team Lead.
Your Responsibilities:
- Participate in a product engineering team in the design, analysis, modification, or enhancement of variable frequency motor drives. Meet cost, performance, and schedule requirements.
- Provide design & test specifications and perform qualification test to support product cost reduction program, strategic sourcing opportunities, product obsolescence replacements, manufacturing issues and any other product design changes.
- Design embedded control hardware, including analog and digital circuits, power supplies, motor control, communication interfaces, and signal acquisition circuits.
- Create design documentation to help deliver high-quality products, including functional block diagrams, test plans, test results, and user documentation.
- Perform RCFA, analyze complex malfunctioning electrical and electro-mechanical circuits or systems and satisfactorily design and test a solution for the malfunction.
- Conduct compliance testing and participate in design reviews to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Use laboratory instrumentation and development tools for hardware validation, troubleshooting, and performance evaluation.
- Support engineering laboratory operations and continuous improvement activities.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in electrical hardware design.
- Proficiency in the use of laboratory instrumentation for hardware measurement, validation and troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of UL and CE standards applicable to industrial control hardware design.
- Experience with engineering document control and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems, including SAP and Windchill.
- Experience using circuit simulation and analysis tools such as PSpice and MATLAB for design, analysis, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
- Experience in schematic capture and PCB design tools such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner/PADS or Altium Designer.
- Experience in development of power electronics products, including motor drives, power supplies, PWM techniques, and motor control applications.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Experience working in Agile product development environments.
- Knowledge of EMC compliance requirements, emissions/susceptibility analysis, and related test methodologies.
- Familiarity with high-speed signal integrity analysis and simulation tools ·
- Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) design and manufacturing processes
