What You Will Get To Do: 

SS&C is seeking a highly skilled strategic Product and Solutions Director to join our team based in Hong Kong.  The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our efforts in identification, development, and launch of new hedge fund products and solutions. Working closely with senior leadership and other cross-functional teams, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle—from concept and research to execution and market launch. This role requires a strong understanding of hedge fund strategies, market trends, and client needs, with a focus on driving innovation and enhancing our competitive edge.  This role demands a high level of strategic thinking, leadership, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage and implement new solutions.

Reporting to: Managing Director, International Hedge Fund Services

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Vision - Define and execute the strategic roadmap for hedge fund products and solutions, identifying market opportunities, industry trends and evolving client needs to drive innovation and growth.

Client Engagement - Engage with key clients and internal stakeholders to understand evolving requirements, gather market feedback and translate client needs into differentiated product and solution opportunities.

Acquisitions – Identify and support the evaluation of potential acquisition opportunities that complement SS&C’s capabilities and align with the strategic objectives of the International Hedge Fund business.

Market Insights & Trends - Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments and changing client demands to inform product strategy and investment priorities. Provide thought leadership on the evolution of hedge fund services and emerging industry developments.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner across sales, technology, operations and business teams to develop and deliver new products and solutions, ensuring alignment between client requirements, commercial objectives and operational capabilities.

Go-To-Market Strategy – Partner with SS&C’s Marketing team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new hedge fund products and solutions, ensuring clear positioning, messaging and communication across target markets and client segments.

Sales & Commercial Engagement – Work closely with the International Hedge Fund Sales team throughout the prospect lifecycle, articulating SS&C’s product positioning and value proposition. Lead and support solution discussions, product demonstrations and commercial modelling to develop compelling propositions that address prospect requirements and support new business conversion. 

What You Will Bring:

• Significant experience within the hedge fund services industry, with a strong understanding of fund administration, operations and middle- and back-office functions.
• Proven track record in product management, product strategy, solution development or related leadership roles within hedge fund services or the broader financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of hedge fund operating models, asset classes, investment and trading strategies and the evolving regulatory and technology landscape.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with clients and prospects, translating complex requirements into effective product and solution propositions.
• Strong commercial acumen, with experience supporting sales processes, solution positioning, product demonstrations and commercial discussions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and credibly to clients, prospects and internal stakeholders.
