The Rimes Technologies Infrastructure Team is the very heart of the Technology Organization, its primary objectives to ensure that the Technology in use by Rimes customers is innovative, reliable, performant, scalable and secure. Delivering world class Customer experience for our both External and Internal users to the Rimes Corporation.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to join our global Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm with a global presence and significant growth potential. 

Responsibilities:

• Act as technical lead for infrastructure and cloud projects, owning delivery from planning through to implementation 
• Drive architectural decision-making within the infrastructure team, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to best practices 
• Build, configure, and maintain infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premise environments 
• Support and optimise VMware-based platforms, including compute, storage, and associated services 
• Lead incident response for complex issues, acting as an escalation point and driving root cause analysis 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, data) to deliver reliable and high-performing platform services  
• Accurately track and update work in Jira and Tempo, ensuring visibility of progress, discovered work, and blockers 

Requirements:

• Strong experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments (cloud and on-premise) 
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, including core infrastructure services 
• Experience supporting or migrating workloads to Azure-native data platforms 
• Understanding of Azure data services and how infrastructure underpins data engineering pipelines (e.g. networking, identity, storage, compute provisioning) 
• In-depth experience of VMware virtualisation and enterprise infrastructure platforms 
• Strong understanding of Windows Server and core services  
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code 
• Proven experience leading technical projects and leading architectural decisions 
• Proven experience supporting SQL environments and data platform infrastructure 
• Familiarity with AI-assisted operations tooling (e.g. AIOps platforms, Copilot, AI-driven monitoring and alerting). 

Desirable:

• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible) 
• AWS exposure 
• Relevant certifications (Azure, VMware, Networking) 
• Databricks experience 

Work Model: hybrid approach, 2 days per week in our office, hours 5am - 2pm
