Senior Business Systems Analyst, Partner Systems & Automation

About the Team

HubSpot's Partner Systems & Automation team builds the systems, automations, and integrations that power HubSpot's partner ecosystem — one of the most strategically important parts of the business, representing a significant share of HubSpot revenue. We work across HubSpot's internal CRM portals, Workato, ServiceNow, Snowflake, and a range of third-party systems, and we are actively expanding our use of AI-assisted workflows to move faster from problem identification to working solutions.

We identify problems, design solutions, build them, ship them, and own them. Our BSAs sit at the boundary between business operations and technical execution — close enough to the business to understand what matters, and technical enough to build it. We are looking for a Senior BSA who thinks like a builder, operates like an engineer, and communicates like a business partner.

In This Role, You'll Get To

• Take ownership of complex, cross-functional automation and systems work across HubSpot's Solutions Partner program — one of the most mature and technically demanding parts of our partner ecosystem
• Identify inefficiencies and root causes across partner operations workflows, then design, build, test, and ship solutions
• Build and maintain integrations, automations, and data pipelines using Workato and HubSpot CRM, with SQL and REST APIs as standard tools of the trade
• Prototype AI-assisted workflows and automation agents, bringing them from idea to working implementation and iterating based on real usage data
• Scope work rigorously — define the problem, quantify the impact, propose the right-sized solution, and know when to prototype before committing to a full build
• Partner with stakeholders across Partner Operations, Partner Product, Engineering, Finance, and Analytics to translate business problems into technical solutions
• Push back constructively when a request does not justify the investment, and help stakeholders understand why
• Operate across multiple partner program domains over time — Solutions Partners is your primary home, but this team is deliberately moving toward cross-domain capability and you will be part of that shift
• Contribute to the team's technical standards and share what you learn, so useful discoveries by one person become capabilities for everyone

We Are Looking For Someone With

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in a role where you built and shipped production systems — business systems analyst, automation engineer, internal tools engineer, or similarly technical operations role
• Technical fluency across the systems stack — SQL, REST APIs, Python, and JSON are standard tools for you; you use them to understand, diagnose, and extend systems
• Hands-on experience with iPaaS tools (Workato, Zapier, Boomi, or similar) — building and maintaining multi-step automations and integrations across complex systems
• Comfort with engineering hygiene for production systems — version control, incremental rollouts, and basic testing practices that make what you build safe to operate and easy for others to maintain.
• Either shipped an AI-assisted feature or automation that real users used, or have a strong production track record and genuine interest in applying AI to operational workflows
• Comfort working in ambiguous environments where the right problem is not always the stated problem — you ask the questions that reframe the work before you start building
• Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups with different incentives and priorities, and the ability to align people without formal authority
• Strong written and verbal communication — you can explain a complex system to a non-technical audience and a complex business problem to an engineer
• A sense of ownership that extends past delivery — you define expected outcomes before you build, check them after you ship, and treat the systems you own as your ongoing responsibility
