About the role

Supervise a shift of the Security department to include providing direction and ensuring response and documentation to security and safety related incidents, ensuring proper preventative measures by making certain security officers are present and patrolling property including all guest floors as well as service areas in a professional and courteous manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel to ensure that all staff and guests are in compliance with preventative safety and security measures. (10%)

• Conduct performance evaluations, provide on-going coaching to staff and discipline staff when needed. (20%)

• Investigate crimes and accidents occurring in the hotel and create incident reports of guest and employee accidents and incidents. (10%)

• Assist in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to noise complaints, disorderly conduct, theft, power failures etc. Prepare documentation and incident reports as needed. (20%)

• Respond and assist with all emergency situations in the hotel as necessary. (10%)

• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. (10%)

• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. (10%)

• Operate and control the keys, lock system, alarm system, surveillance system and fire protection system. (10%)

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Conduct VIP escorts in a professional and courteous manner.

• Assist handicapped guests.

• Actively participate in day-to-day security operations of the property.

• Actively assist Safety Committee.

• Actively work with hotel MOD.

What you bring

Education: High school or equivalent diploma

Experience: Experience required by position is minimum of 1 full year of employment in related position with Four Seasons or other organization, or Law Enforcement / Military experience.

Skills and Abilities: Requires a working knowledge of basic security procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on the job or through professional training and certifications. Requires knowledge and ability to operate computer equipment. Ability to read and write English.
