We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role

We're building a Physical AI security platform – a system powered by AI agents that supports in building secure Physical AI and Vehicle Intelligence platforms. It spans the full product lifecycle, and everything it produces has to hold up under external scrutiny. You'll be an early engineer on the team with real latitude over what gets built and how it gets done.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Build agentic security workflows to support threat modeling, cyber risk analysis, threat detection, and investigation capabilities on the platform

• Build AI risk engines, intelligent intrusion detection engines, security testing engines, and security testing simulation engines which make up the physical AI security platform

• Architect the agentless integration with web applications, AI agents, and devices under testing like software-defined vehicles and mining trucks

• Deploy LLM-powered or agentic features to production using structured output, tool use, multi-step workflows, and human-in-the-loop review

• Own full-stack development end-to-end from database schema design to frontend UI interfaces

• Model complex, highly relational domains featuring versioned entities, traceability, and long-running asynchronous workflows with durable state.

We're looking for someone who has:

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience with 5+ years building and shipping production software

• Experience across the stack using TypeScript and React

• Proficiency with a typed backend server language (Go, Rust, Python, or similar) owning features from schema to UI

• Experience building information-dense interfaces for expert users, including large tables, live-updating views, structured authoring, and keyboard-driven navigation

Nice to have:

• Background in security engineering or building security web applications, tools, or a security platform

• Experience in the cybersecurity domain as a software engineer

Compensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a single component of the total compensation package, which may also include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, 401k retirement benefits with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Note that benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.

Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salary for new hire salaries for the position. The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position.
