ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Tech Performance Sales Representative mission is to build positive and lasting relationships with current and future retail partners, consumers, and the performance community with a focus on Running, Golf, and Pickleball in the SoCal/Arizona market. As a key function of the brand, this role works closely with the Sports Marketing, Product, Marketing and their collective Sales teams to bring our brand to life at retail. We are looking for a driven, energetic and sports- passionate sales representative to join our growing Sports Performance team. We are looking for someone who is ready to hustle, build relationships and grow the Skechers brand across one of the most exciting sports markets in the country.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Primary Categories- Core Focus

• Drive Sales and market share growth across Skechers Running, Golf and Pickleball categories within your assigned Texas territory.
• Build and manage relationships with key retail accounts, run specialty dealers, golf-tennis pro shops, and sporting goods retailers.
• Execute seasonal sell-in meetings, present product lines, and close orders that meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Identify and develop new account opportunities and expand distribution and brand presence in the territory.

Secondary Categories- Supporting Role

• Support sales efforts across Tennis, Walking, Soccer and Basketball categories to deliver a full Skechers portfolio to retail partners.

Brand and Field Activation

• Collaborate closely with regional tech reps to educate retail staff and athletes on Skechers product technologies, innovations and performance benefits.

• Partner with Sports Marketing team to activate brand initiatives, athlete appearances, grassroots events, and in-store experiences across the territory.

• Represent Skechers at trade shows, sporting events, clinics, and community activations throughout SoCal and Arizona.

• Champion brand storytelling and help bring the Skechers performance identify to life at the retail level.

Planning and Reporting

• Develop and manage a territory business plan aligned with regional and national sales strategies.

• Track account performance, sell-through date, and competitive insights.

• Manage seasonal order books, re-orders and product assortment recommendations for each account.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

• BA or BS degree in Business or equivalent combination of experience.

• 1+ years Marketing/Sales/Retail experience required, 2+ years preferred.

• Running, Golf, Sports or Athletic industry experience highly preferred.

• Work experience within the running or golf community.

• Basic knowledge of retail math, inventory management, product merchandising and retail selling skills.
• Experienced self-starter with strong negotiation skills and entrepreneurial characteristics.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong time management abilities.

• Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.

• Ability to lift and carry samples, sample bags, and marketing materials.

• Travel required (approximately 80%).

• You must be willing to live within an agreed upon radius of the territory you support.

• Highly motivated with a hardworking attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

• Works well independently, as well as within a team.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to understand the sport of running and empathize with runners to develop authentic relationships at retail and the running community at large.

• Ability to strategically use an annual budget that benefits the territory and brand.

The pay range for this position is $105,000-$110,000/yr USD.
