Job Role: Sales Assistant
Compensation range: $1,500 AUD - $2,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.
Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian-based distribution business supplying premium outdoor, sporting and specialist equipment through a growing network of retailers across the country.
The business works with established international manufacturers and supports its dealer network through product knowledge, sales support, marketing, training and responsive customer service. With a strong focus on quality, reliability and long-term relationships, the team has built a growing presence in the Australian market.
This is a hands-on and fast-moving environment where attention to detail, clear communication and strong organisation are highly valued. The Sales Assistant will work closely with the sales team, helping them stay organised, manage customer communication, maintain accurate information and support the day-to-day running of the sales function.
Role Overview: We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Sales, Customer Service & Marketing Assistant to provide day-to-day support to the wider team.
While the role includes sales administration, it is effectively a Virtual Assistant-style position, supporting the team with internal administration, CRM management, travel arrangements, inbox management, correspondence and a range of other tasks.
You’ll need to be comfortable working across different systems, managing multiple priorities and taking initiative to keep things moving.
The business is also transitioning to NetSuite as its ERP and CRM platform. Experience with NetSuite would be desirable but is not essential. Experience using other CRM systems is important as well.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & CRM Support
- Complete accurate CRM data entry and maintain up-to-date records.
- Assist with dealer intelligence and sales-related information.
- Maintain and update dashboards and reports.
- Support the sales team with day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Assist with CRM processes and data management during the transition to NetSuite.
- Ensure relevant customer, dealer and sales information is accurately recorded.
- Assist with general sales administration and follow-up tasks.
Customer & Supplier Support
- Monitor, organise and manage inboxes.
- Review incoming emails and identify items requiring attention.
- Draft professional email responses on behalf of team members.
- Assist with correspondence with suppliers and, where required, customers.
- Help manage routine enquiries and communications.
- Escalate important or complex matters to the appropriate team member.
Marketing Support
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team.
- Assist with organising marketing information, documents and materials.
- Support marketing-related administrative tasks and activities.
- Maintain accurate customer and marketing information.
- Assist with ad hoc marketing tasks as required.
General VA & Administrative Support
- Assist with business travel planning, including flights, accommodation and itineraries.
- Assist with calendars, meetings and appointments.
- Organise documents, files and information.
- Provide general internal administrative support to the team.
- Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects across the business.
- Help the team stay organised and ensure important tasks don't get missed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Confident using CRM systems and business software.
- A strong written communicator with excellent English.
- Confident drafting professional emails and correspondence.
- Comfortable communicating with suppliers and customers.
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Reliable, responsive and able to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable providing broad administrative and virtual assistant support.
CRM Experience
Experience with CRM systems is important for this role.
Experience with NetSuite would be an advantage, but it is not essential. Candidates with experience using other CRM platforms are encouraged to apply.

This is a varied role, so you should be comfortable switching between CRM administration, email and correspondence, travel planning, customer and supplier support, marketing tasks and general administration.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can take ownership of their work, stay organised and get things done without needing constant direction.

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
