POSITION SUMMARY:
The Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator manages the facility’s safety and environmental programs to effectively reduce and minimize workplace accidents.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Completes daily, weekly, monthly compliance inspections
- Assists management in root-cause investigation and corrective actions
- Facilitates injury reporting process when EHS Manager is unable to facilitate
- Facilitates OSHA training and PPE assessments in plant as directed by EHS Manager’s priorities
- Participates in facilitation of monthly safety committee meetings
- Supports ergonomics program in the facility
- Serves as back-up support for OSHA log management and regulatory inspection point of contact when management is unavailable
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: _ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Preferred Degree: Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety, occupational safety, environmental/safety sciences, or industrial engineering preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
- Computer skills: intermediate to advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Outlook. Gensuite experience is a plus.
- Ability to positively influence operations peer group is critical for success in this role. Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing, EHS Management system implementation
