Job Description:

Be the face of the Bank.  Be visibly present and actively engaged with Indigenous communities, businesses, organizations and Peoples of the region.  Actively facilitate deeper client and prospect relationships through TD Partner joint calls with solutions aligned to community needs and priorities.

  • Complete a minimum of [8] in-community days per month (96 per year), across urban, rural, and remote communities; at least 25% of days occur in remote locations.
  • Identify and practice shadow portfolio discipline for top prospect and customer list. Visit each identified priority Nation/Community at least quarterly; capture engagement notes and follow-ups in BB Hub/CRM.
  • Host or facilitate (with TD Partners) financial literacy/education sessions annually with local partners (e.g., Band Councils, Friendship Centres)

Objective Statement: Deliver financial and client experience results that meet or exceed the region’s business plan.

  • Support CBC Units to achieve targets for Net new Indigenous Client Acquisition and Volume Growth as measured by the regional scorecard
  • Drive profitable growth across portfolios; ensure pricing and profitability meet or exceed expected return on risk-adjusted capital (unless approved by Unit Leader).
  • Lead or facilitate market and sales activities related to Indigenous communities, businesses, organizations and Peoples of the region using BBHub CRM platform , (shadow portfolios, and pipeline)
  • Support regional Legendary Experience Index (LEI) in line with Business Banking's incremental targets

Demonstrate leadership in risk management, fully embedding TD’s refreshed Risk Culture (Own it, Raise it, Know it).

  • Operate within Risk Appetite and comply with laws, rules, and regulations; support CBCs to maintain expiry thresholds, BSA TBOs, outstanding information.
  • Support the CBC to Remediate risk-related findings within prescribed timelines and prevent repeat findings.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training (LMS) and share emerging risk insights with the team.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in lending within the Bank's Risk Appetite framework ; partner with Credit for complex files and ensure quality underwriting and annual reviews.

Objective Statement: Execute the Indigenous Banking Strategy across the region and lead portfolio discipline and enterprise collaboration.

  • Work closely with Senior Regional Manager and AVP to deliver the Indigenous Banking Strategy; participate in working committees for strategic initiatives.
  • Leverage deep industry and enterprise knowledge to recognize trends, identify opportunities, and connect clients to TD partners.
  • Maintain robust pipeline hygiene and cadence (weekly reviews, monthly forecasts); drive conversion rates and cycle-time improvements.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with internal and external partners, including Indigenous governments and organizations.

Objective Statement: Model and advance TD’s Leadership Principles; coach partners to increase knowledge, confidence, and awareness of Indigenous Banking.

  • Provide coaching to Business Banking partners and regional teams; deliver at least [6] learning sessions annually on Indigenous Banking and protocols.
  • Build deep client relationships by fostering a client-obsessed culture; deliver [24] OneTD referrals.
  • Execute brilliantly and win together by breaking down silos and creating an inclusive environment where great talent thrives.
  • Live inclusion by embracing diverse perspectives and practices; incorporate community feedback into continuous improvement.
  • Submit monthly reports covering in-community days, engagements, education sessions, pipeline metrics, LEI progress, and risk/compliance status.
  • Maintain accurate records in BB Hub/CRM of visits, contacts, commitments, and action items; ensure traceability and audit readiness.
  • Quarterly review of objectives with AVP/Senior RM; adjust targets as needed based on community input and business results.
