Department Overview
We lead the creation of customer touchpoints and business growth through real-world channels, with a core focus on Rakuten Mobile shop operations. Our stores are not merely points for contract acquisition; they serve as the "front line of customer engagement" that provides cross-sectional access to Rakuten Group services—including telecommunications, finance, and e-commerce—playing a vital role in supporting the brand experience.
Within the Area Business Promotion Department, the Electronics Retailer Sales Group builds strong relationships with partners, such as nationwide electronics retail chains. We take end-to-end responsibility from strategy design to execution, aiming to expand sales channels and maximize the performance of existing partners. Our mission is to maximize Rakuten Mobile’s presence and sales volume in the mass retail channel by overseeing everything from strategic negotiations at the headquarters level to sales promotion at the store level.

With the expansion of the Rakuten Mobile shop business, we need to strengthen our sales structure within the mass retailer channel. As mass retailers serve as critical channels with many customer touchpoints, we require a structure that can consistently drive sales strategies tailored to regional characteristics, coordinate with store operations, and negotiate with headquarters to achieve increased sales volume and brand awareness. We are looking for individuals who can build relationships with mass retailer headquarters and store staff to expand our sales channels and improve the sales performance of our existing partners.

Position Details
In this role, you will contribute to the expansion of Rakuten Mobile sales and the maximization of partner store performance through headquarters negotiations, the formulation and execution of sales strategies, and collaboration with store staff in the mass retailer channel.

- Negotiate with strategic personnel at mass retailer headquarters to reach agreements on sales targets, promotions, and product displays.

- Build a cooperative framework with regional/area managers and store managers across the country.

- Analyze market characteristics and competitive conditions by region to formulate and execute optimal sales strategies.

- Plan and provide training and sales support measures for store staff.

- Plan, execute, and manage sales initiatives through collaboration with mass retailer crew outsourcing companies.

(3 Assistant Managers, 15 Members)

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Experience in sales within industries such as mass retail, telecommunications, or consumer goods, including experience in headquarters negotiations, B2B sales, or agency sales.

- Experience in proposing and negotiating sales targets, promotional initiatives, floor layouts, and campaigns with client headquarters.

- Experience in identifying issues based on sales performance, sales data, and market trends, and formulating/executing sales strategies for specific areas or stores.

- Experience in driving projects while coordinating with multiple stakeholders, such as headquarters representatives, internal departments, area managers, and store staff.

- Experience in proactively creating action plans, checking progress, addressing issues, and proposing improvements to achieve goals.
- TOEIC score of 600 or higher

Desired Qualifications:

- Experience as a Supervisor (SV) managing multiple stores, including numerical management, staff development, and leading improvements in store operations.

- Experience in selling or managing mobile products at carrier shops or electronics retail stores.
