Senior QA Automation Engineer
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript, and modern automation testing practices. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable automation frameworks, integrating quality engineering within Agile SDLC, and leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve test efficiency, defect detection, and delivery quality.
The candidate should be comfortable working closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality software releases through automated testing and continuous quality practices.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Engineering
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using JavaScript
Create automated UI, API, and end-to-end test suites.
Develop reusable test components and automation libraries.
Execute automated regression and smoke testing.
Improve automation coverage across business-critical applications.
Quality Engineering
Participate in requirement analysis and test planning activities.
Define test strategies, test data, and automation approaches.
Perform root cause analysis for defects.
Collaborate with development teams to prevent defects early in the lifecycle.
Support functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
AI in SDLC
Utilize AI-powered testing tools to improve test generation and maintenance.
Leverage AI capabilities for:
Test case generation
Defect prediction
Impact analysis
Test optimization
Requirement-to-test traceability
Evaluate and recommend AI solutions that improve software quality and delivery speed.
CI/CD & DevOps
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
Support continuous testing within DevOps practices.
Work with tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
Generate automated test reports and quality metrics.
Agile Delivery
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate across engineering teams to deliver high-quality software releases.
Required Skills
Mandatory
Strong JavaScript development skills.
UI and API test automation experience.
Test framework development experience.
Experience with Agile SDLC.
Git version control.
CI/CD integration experience.
REST API testing.
Defect management and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred
AI-assisted testing tools and platforms.
Experience with GenAI applications in testing.
Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
Performance testing exposure.
Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
Experience Required
5+ years of QA Automation experience.
Experience delivering automation solutions in large enterprise environments.
Experience working in Agile product teams.
Exposure to AI-driven software engineering practices.
