Business Overview
The Technology Platforms Division (TPD) drives the growth of the Rakuten Ecosystem by delivering innovative, high-quality technology platforms characterized by integrated control and strategic partnerships.
Within TPD, the Telecom Business Application Supervisory Department (TBASD) develops and maintains a unified, high-quality Business Support System (BSS) for Rakuten Mobile. We deliver agile, scalable solutions across the customer lifecycle and continuously enhance system performance through close collaboration with stakeholders.
Department Overview
The Business Support System Product Management Department (BSPMD) is responsible for providing a unified product strategy for the Business Support System (BSS) that integrates with the Rakuten ecosystem to maximize Rakuten Mobile's business potential. Our core missions are managing the product development lifecycle by focusing on project ROI, building a unified BSS platform, and enhancing our AI-driven platform capabilities.
BSS QA Section is responsible for end-to-end quality assurance of Rakuten BSS systems. This position drives test automation for BSS B2C products in close collaboration with development teams, release management, and external partners.
Position Details
- Design and implement automated test solutions across web, app, API.
- Build and maintain scalable test frameworks that support continuous testing
- Collaborate with engineers and product teams to define quality requirements and acceptance criteria
- Drive integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality feedback
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to drive resolution
- Contribute to improving overall software quality through proactive testing strategies and expanded coverage
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language
- Experience designing and implementing automated test frameworks
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of API testing and backend system verification
- Knowledge of leveraging AI tools to enhance and accelerate test automation
- Business-level English and/or Japanese communication skills
