We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer Mechanical with a strong background in residential units HVAC and mechanical systems design reviews, material installation, site supervision, and quality inspections for the mechanical components of major building rectification and upgrade programs. This role demands a high level of expertise in the design, execution, testing, and commissioning of complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure stringent adherence to design criteria, codes, and industry standards at every stage of the project's life cycle.

Scope of Work
- Perform design reviews of design packages, providing constructability insights as needed to the Design & Engineering team or consultants.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings, and as-built drawings across multiple trades and disciplines.
- Supervise and inspect mechanical work, providing day-to-day monitoring of project progress within the project scope.
- Perform QA/QC inspections to identify nonconforming work, issuing periodic reports to track quality metrics.
- Respond to contractor requests for inspections, technical queries, and site clarifications, coordinating with the project management team to issue field directives as necessary.
- Verify quantities and work progress to ensure accuracy in completed work calculations.
- Coordinate and resolve mechanical design issues that arise during construction, working closely with all stakeholders, including contractors, to ensure alignment within the project scope.
- Support technical decision-making on mechanical systems, providing expertise to address design or installation challenges.
- Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical systems as needed.
- Offer technical knowledge and guidance on the operation of mechanical distribution systems.
- Lead commissioning, startup, and adjustments of mechanical systems and components, ensuring proper function.
- Investigate and resolve complaints related to code violations, addressing issues promptly.
- Monitor project progression via an approved schedule to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Document deficiencies and corrective actions by photographing conditions before and after rectification.
- Maintain comprehensive records and daily updates to the project track sheet.
- Develop Project Charters outlining project scope, budget, and schedule to guide project planning and execution.
- Work in partnership with other FM teams, IT, HSE, and stakeholders as needed, with transparency.
- Be user-centric, building trust and strong relationships with customers, providing options, solutions and choices to meet their needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in verifying design against construction, QA/QC, material specification, Mechanical Systems commissioning mainly residential HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Extensive knowledge and familiarity with Mechanical codes and design.
