As a Project Engineer, you will support the development of next-generation HVAC compressor technologies used in residential comfort systems. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will participate in product development activities including testing, data analysis, design evaluation, and product validation throughout the development lifecycle.
This role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to product development from concept through production launch while working with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, laboratory operations, and global development organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development activities for new compressor technologies and HVAC products.
- Participate in laboratory testing and product validation efforts.
- Analyze engineering data and support technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with engineers, technicians, manufacturing teams, and global colleagues.
- Assist with prototype builds, product evaluations, and engineering investigations.
- Develop expertise in engineering calculators, analytical tools, and development processes.
- Support risk mitigation activities during product development.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean product development initiatives.
- Present technical findings and project updates to team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or engineering experience in product development, manufacturing, testing, or design.
- Exposure to thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, machine design, or mechanical systems.
- Experience working in a laboratory or testing environment.
- Interest in HVAC, refrigeration, energy efficiency, or sustainable technologies.
