Note: This is for 1 Regular Full-Time vacancy. This position is hybrid but requires you to work in-person on site weekly and is based in London, Ontario.  This position is deemed a critical replacement vacancy.

Why this Role is Important

Under the general supervision of the Senior Manager, Corporate Training Solutions, the Program Manager, Contract Training is responsible for identifying, developing, marketing, staffing, supporting and evaluating contract training, programs and services offered by Corporate Training Solutions. The incumbent is responsible for the effective operation and delivery of licensing and compliance programs within the CTS department by working closely with the Senior Manager, business development officers, instructors and support staff within CTS as well as other college employees and external stakeholders and partners.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Responsible for the business development, planning and delivery of contracts and programs within CTS, which includes but is not limited to:

• Conducts current needs analysis, competitive analysis and reviews business and learning & development trends
• Identifies new business opportunities for revenue generation.
• Develops, reviews and maintains CTS curriculum and products
• Assesses and makes recommendations to support the delivery of the licensing and compliance programs such as MTO programs, facility rentals, equipment, vehicle maintenance and services
• Liaise with other divisions and departments such as Regional Campuses, Marketing and Communication, IT Services and Facilities Management
• Works with the Senior Manager to meet revenue goals, client engagement and partnership development
• Conducts activities including advising/responding to potential clients and participants on the CTS product sets and customized training
• Manages the operation of all Transportation, Licensing and Compliance programs including advising on open enrolment, DCP/MTO regulations and legislation, experiential learning and training best practices and labour market alignment

General Administration:

• Ensures that the departmental budget is used effectively by optimizing use of human, fiscal and physical resources; plans and controls some budgetary operations
• Manages day-to-day activity of instructors; determines work priorities and assignments
• Responsible for recruiting, selecting, training, developing and performance management of instructors and staff
• Participates in the establishment of revenue targets and continually monitors budget data
• Works with CTS leadership in developing revenue and costing for new initiatives both long and short term

Marketing Partnerships:

• Accountable for arranging a variety of marketing and partnership efforts.
• Identifies and implements strategies to promote contract training business.
• Identifies new target markets for customized training and programming.
• Assists in identifying new trends in the marketplace related to the development of new technologies and markets.
• Maintains and develops relationships with Colleges Ontario, educational institutions and partnership agreements with business associations and not-for-profit organizations

What You'll Bring

• Post-secondary 3 year diploma/degree in a related field. Master’s degree in business or related field and/or B.Ed. or M.Ed. is an asset
• Minimum 7 years’ business experience in marketing, sales, corporate communications and/or academic settings
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• Demonstrated marketing ability with excellent problem-solving, negotiation and communication skills
• Demonstrated administrative background including budget responsibilities and supervisory responsibilities
• Must have excellent interpersonal and organization skills, computer skills
• Project/operational management, leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to foster a team-based approach to operational planning and problem solving
• Supervisory experience would be an asset
• Related experience within an academic setting including post-secondary teaching and curriculum development and design would be an asset
