The Production Supervisor will be located onsite in Minden, LA and reports through to the Plant Superintendent. This role leads day to day operations at Voyager's black powder manufacturing facility, overseeing the safety, training, and performance of hourly production employees while ensuring schedules and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate pairs hands-on manufacturing experience with strong leadership skills to drive a safe, efficient, and continuously improving production environment.

In this role, the essential functions are:

• Lead day to day production operations and activities, organizing labor, assigning tasks, and driving output to meet key performance indicator and the production schedule.
• Enforce safe work practices by ensuring team compliance with standard operating procedures and all safety, PPE, and material handling requirements.
• Provide hands on training and daily coaching to production employees on processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements.
• Ensure operators have the tools, materials, PPE, and equipment needed to safely and efficiently perform their work each day.
• Monitor production activities in real time, troubleshooting issues, resolving problems, and escalating larger or systemic concerns to the Plant Superintendent.
• Lead shift-level communication, ensuring employees understand daily expectations, production goals, and any changes to work instructions.
• Conduct performance reviews, support employee development, and promote cross training to maintain a flexible, capable workforce.
• Drive continuous improvement and compliance by supporting 5S/kaizen initiatives and participating in root-cause investigations and corrective actions.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills, with the ability to develop others.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and execute production activities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Ability and willingness to operate production equipment as needed to maintain the production schedule.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required state and federal explosives licenses, including background checks and drug screening.
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment, including exposure to physical demands, machinery, and explosives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ yrs experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or powder handling environments as a supervisor
• Prior experience working with explosives or energetic materials; Associate's degree a plus.

Travel, Physical and/or Government Mandated Requirements:

• Travel - minimal
• Ability to lift, move, or carry items or equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing and warehouse environment for extended periods with exposure to varying temperatures
• Ability to wear required PPE and comply with site-specific safety and regulatory requirements
• Candidates must meet all eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age requirements (21 and over), a drug-free workplace in compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 (41 U.S.C. §§ 8101–8106), Executive Order 12564 (Drug-Free Federal Workplace), applicable Department of Defense directives including DoD Instruction 1010.09 and DFARS 252.226-7003 and successful completion of any legally required background investigations.
• To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

The good faith base salary rate for this role is $70,000 - $85,000 per year at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
