What is Fizz

Fizz is the social platform built for authentic connection. We started by building the largest college social network in the U.S., and are now expanding Fizz into a global community where people can connect around the places they live, the communities they belong to, and the things they care about.

We're building a different kind of social product: one centered on conversation, community, and meeting people, rather than consuming content from creators and influencers.

The Role

We're looking for a Product Manager, Design & UX who sits at the intersection of product management, product design, and building.

This is not a traditional PM role. You'll spend the majority of your time hands-on: designing in Figma, using AI to analyze data and prototype ideas, and shipping product changes yourself when possible.

You'll operate in two modes. Sometimes you'll own a product problem end-to-end, from identifying the opportunity and pulling the data to designing, shipping, and measuring the solution. Other times, you'll partner with another PM and focus on turning their ideas into exceptional product experiences.

You should be equally excited about both.

We care less about whether you started as a PM or designer. We care that you have exceptional product judgment, are excellent at product design, and want to use AI to dramatically increase what one person can build.

What You'll Do

• Spend significant time in Figma designing production-ready product experiences

• Own product initiatives end-to-end, from problem → data → design → ship → iterate

• Partner with other PMs to turn product ideas into simple, intuitive experiences

• Use AI to query and analyze product data yourself, uncover opportunities, and make data-driven product decisions

• Build prototypes quickly using AI and other modern development tools

• Ship visual and UI changes directly to production without engineering support when possible

• Own and evolve Fizz's design system

• Work directly with engineers on changes that require deeper technical work

• Use experiments, product data, and user feedback to continuously improve what you ship

What We're Looking For

• Exceptional product judgment and consumer product taste

• Advanced Figma skills and a desire to spend >70% of your time designing and building

• Excellent UX and interaction design skills

• Strong visual design instincts and attention to detail

• Experience building consumer mobile products

• Strong analytical thinking and comfort using AI to independently query and analyze product data

• Technical enough to use AI coding tools to prototype and ship visual product changes yourself

• Ability to independently own a product problem and be accountable for its outcome

• Equally comfortable partnering with another PM and focusing primarily on design

• High ownership, low ego, and a bias toward shipping
