As a Product Manager on our Advisory Experiences team, you will help define and deliver the tools and capabilities that enable financial advisors to serve their clients and support their financial goals more effectively. You will bring strong product judgment, analytical thinking, technical fluency, creativity, leadership, and the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.

You will join an ambitious product team responsible for defining and delivering experiences across our retirement and personal wealth businesses. In this role, you will focus on the internal financial advisor experience, identifying opportunities to simplify complex advisor workflows, consolidate capabilities, improve productivity, and ensure advisors have the tools, information, and technology they need to deliver an exceptional client experience.

Success in this role requires the ability to understand both the advisor experience and the systems and processes that enable it. You will be comfortable moving between user needs, business processes, data, and technology—working with engineering and other partners to turn complex problems into simple, scalable solutions.

What You Will Do

• Shape product strategy by identifying opportunities to improve the financial advisor experience and enable advisors to more effectively serve their clients
• Own and evolve the product roadmap, balancing immediate advisor and business needs with longer-term strategic and technology opportunities
• Develop a deep understanding of advisor workflows and the systems, data, and processes that support them to identify opportunities for simplification, consolidation, automation, and productivity improvement
• Bring clarity and structure to ambiguous and complex product problems, translating advisor and business needs into clear product outcomes and actionable priorities
• Partner closely with engineering and architecture teams to understand technical constraints, dependencies, and tradeoffs and incorporate them into product decisions
• Use advisor research, behavioral and operational data, feedback, and market insights to inform product strategy and prioritize opportunities
• Inspire and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners to build alignment around product direction and priorities
• Lead cross-functional teams through discovery and delivery, defining product requirements, managing dependencies and tradeoffs, obtaining necessary approvals—including compliance and legal—and driving toward key milestones
• Understand Empower's business goals, advisor needs, technology landscape, and competitive environment to develop products aligned with our strategy
• Define and track measures of success, including advisor outcomes, productivity improvements, adoption, operational efficiency, and product performance
• Make product decisions using a combination of user insights, quantitative analysis, technical understanding, and iterative validation
• Execute with urgency while maintaining a focus on advisor outcomes, scalability, user experience, and continuous learning
• Challenge existing processes and technology patterns and identify opportunities to simplify experiences, reduce complexity, and improve delivery and operational efficiency

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 1 - 3 years of product management experience leading meaningful products or capabilities and working collaboratively with engineering, design, research, and business teams
• Strong product judgment and demonstrated ability to identify the underlying user problem, distinguish needs from requested solutions, and make thoughtful prioritization decisions
• Technical fluency and curiosity, with the ability to understand system interactions, data flows, integrations, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs and collaborate effectively with engineering partners
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex user, business, and technology problems into clear product priorities and requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
• Exceptional prioritization and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to navigate competing priorities and work effectively in a highly regulated environment
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, cross-functional partners, and peers
• Demonstrated ability to independently drive initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and follow through on commitments
• A strong appreciation for intuitive user experiences and the ability to simplify complex workflows for users

What Will Set You Apart

• Experience building internal, enterprise, or workflow-oriented products where success depends on understanding the underlying systems and business processes as much as the user interface
• Experience with products involving system consolidation, workflow automation, data integration, or modernization of complex technology ecosystems
• Proven experience navigating the full product lifecycle, from discovery and prioritization through delivery, adoption, measurement, and iteration
• Experience building products within financial services, wealth management, retirement, or another highly regulated industry
• Experience working with or building products for financial advisors or other professional users with complex workflows

Base Salary Range

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
