About Soccer Stars

Soccer Stars is the nation's leading youth soccer coaching program which teaches fundamental soccer skills to children in a fun, non-competitive, and safe environment. The soccer ball is used as a vehicle to develop life skills and support a child's physical, mental, social, and emotional growth. For over 20 years, Soccer Stars has been coaching children ages 12 months and older, positively impacting more than one million children across the country through the sport of soccer.

Soccer Stars offers innovative, age-specific, and skill-based programs developed by early childhood professionals and youth soccer experts. Our coaches are passionate about inspiring children to build self-confidence, foster teamwork, enhance gross motor skills, develop social skills, and improve physical literacy—all while having fun.

Soccer Stars is based in Buffalo Grove and serves families throughout Vernon Hills, Lincolnshire, Wheeling, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Long Grove, Lake Zurich, Northbrook, Deerfield, Glenview and surrounding communities.

Job Summary:
Soccer Stars is looking for passionate and dedicated part-time Soccer Coaches for multiple locations in North suburbs of Chicago. If you love working with young kids and passionate about sports, we would love to connect with you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be Prepared - Use the Soccer Stars curriculum to create structured, goal-focused classes that match each age group’s growth stage (12 and under). Sprinkle your own creative flair to keep every session exciting.
• Be Punctual- Arrive on time, and ready to make every class a standout experience.
• Set up Gear- Set up and break down all equipment before and after each session, and use the gear well to conduct lessons
• Deliver Excellence: Be the Soccer Stars ambassador. Engage every participant, run fun, age-appropriate classes, and keep the energy buzzing from start to finish.
• Support & Safety: Supervise participants closely and offer assistance when needed to create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
• Be Fun: Create a fun and exciting environment for kids to learn and grow, while still teaching motor, social, and soccer skills.

Requirements

• Energetic, dependable and punctual
• Excellent communication skills
• Passionate about sports (soccer experience is a plus, but not required—we provide training!)
• Enjoys working with young children
• Availability (Pick your suitable time slots):
• Monday to Friday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
• Saturday: 9am to 12pm, 4pm to 6pm
• Minimum Hours: 5 – 10 per week
• Willing to travel to class sites
• Reliable transportation required
• US Citizens or Green card holders only
