NewYork-Presbyterian's Ambulatory Care Network makes it easier for patients to access high-quality and affordable outpatient care right in their neighborhoods. Our Comprehensive Health Program (CHP) has provided team-based care to patients of all ages with HIV/AIDS and other chronic infections since 1998. Today, we care for over 3,000 individuals with HIV, hepatitis C, STDs, and other infectious conditions, including prevention services such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). Now is your opportunity to thrive at the forefront of top-notch psychiatric care to help improve health care outcomes – physical, behavioral, and social health – and increase access for the members of our communities.

The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing acute illness; providing psychotherapy; prescribing medication for both acute and chronic illness;  interpreting labs and diagnostic studies, as well as provide clinical consultation and supervision to our behavioral health clinicians (social workers) and other clinical team members. The individual must be able to work with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills and a desire to work with populations who have a high prevalence of mental illness, trauma and substance use.

This is a full time position working Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm at NewYork-Presbyterian’s Ambulatory Care Network/Comprehensive Health Program in Washington Heights.

Preferred Criteria:

• Psychiatric Experience

• Experience with the HIV Population

• Bilingual - English and Spanish

Required Criteria:

• Master’s degree in Advanced Nursing Practice

• Board Certification in PMH-NP

• Current NYS RN and FNP licensure

• Current BLS through the AHA

• Minimum of two years NP experience

• Well versed in psychotherapy modalities

• Strong communication, interpersonal
