ChristianaCare Medical Group is seeking a professional, dependable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant Training Coordinator with strong communication, integrity, and solid technical and clinical skills.

The Medical Assistant Training Coordinator coordinates and supports Medical Assistant onboarding, competency validation, clinical education, practice support, and workforce development initiatives across ambulatory practices. Serves as a regional resource for Medical Assistant caregivers, practice leaders, preceptors, and students by providing onboarding support, competency assessment, remediation, workflow implementation, and coordination of educational programs to promote consistent clinical practice and high-quality patient care.

Work Schedule:

• Monday – Friday: 8am to 4:30pm
• This position supports Medical Assistant training and development across ChristianaCare Medical Group practices throughout Greenville, Hockessin, New Castle, Newark, Springside/Glasgow, and Elkton, North East, Perryville in Maryland.

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant Training Coordinator provides oversight and support for the development, implementation, and evaluation of Medical Assistant clinical instruction, onboarding, competency development, and workforce development programs. Will partner with operational and nursing leaders, Medical Assistant preceptors, and community training programs to facilitate structured onboarding, early-tenure support, clinical rotations, externships, competency validation, and preceptor education. Provides individualized clinical skills coaching, at-the-elbow support, site visits, observations, audits, and workflow reinforcement to promote consistent practice standards, quality outcomes, and successful Medical Assistant development across ambulatory settings. Will coordinate Medical Assistant clinical learning experiences and affiliation requirements, serves as a liaison between ChristianaCare and external training programs, and supports the development and implementation of competency assessment tools and educational initiatives. Tracks program outcomes, key performance indicators, and workforce development metrics; supports talent pipeline and referral processes in partnership with practices and Human Resources; and maintains centralized Medical Assistant resources for caregivers and operational leaders. Ensures compliance with organizational, regulatory, professional, and safety standards and performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• Associate degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program or hold a current Medical Assistant certification from a national certifying organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Candidates who do not hold a Medical Assistant certification at the time of hire must obtain certification within one year of employment.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Medical Assistant experience, preferably ambulatory care. 
• Previous experience supporting onboarding, remediation, clinical quality initiatives, or practice transitions preferred.
