A Day in the Life
Are you passionate about improving how work gets done and building connections across teams to drive operational excellence? Medtronic is seeking a Medical Affairs Specialist to support business process excellence across the Clinical, Medical Affairs & HEPR (CMAH) organization. This role will serve as a key partner across functions, helping to strengthen collaboration, improve process consistency, and support effective execution of critical business activities.The Medical Affairs Specialist will work closely with stakeholders across CMAH to coordinate and improve business processes, reporting, metrics, and governance activities. This role will help ensure consistent approaches to planning, reporting, and operational execution while identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and improve organizational effectiveness. Through partnership and attention to detail, the Specialist will support the adoption of best practices and help drive consistency across functions.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Serve as a liaison for Clinical, Medical Affairs & HEPR (CMAH) functions to facilitate communication, coordination, and alignment on operational activities and initiatives.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized business processes, tools, templates, and documentation to promote consistency across CMAH.
- Coordinate the collection, validation, and consolidation of data to support consistent reporting, metrics, dashboards, and business reviews.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify process gaps, operational challenges, and opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness.
- Monitor key operational activities and proactively identify, communicate, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies to appropriate leaders and stakeholders.
- Facilitate the adoption of established processes and best practices while supporting continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational performance and consistency.
- May analyze data and business trends to develop reports, provide insights, and support decision-making across CMAH functions.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare/Medical Device Industry experience
- Project management experience
- Experience supporting global programs.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
