EFI Global, an industry leader in forensic engineering and consulting, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and a strong background in vehicle accident reconstruction. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, a passion for uncovering the facts behind complex incidents, and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service. VAR (Vehicle Accident Reconstruction) certification is highly desirable. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To investigate accident sites, vehicles, and equipment, researching, documenting evidence and determine damage, and provide clients with expert opinions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts investigations of vehicles, equipment, and accident sites to document the evidence and determine the scope of damage.

• Investigates and assesses damages due to failures and determines the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.

• Researches, evaluates, analyzes and tests the causation of accidents and failures.

• Collaborates with other engineering disciplines to produce detailed reports outlining the cause of the accident.

• Serves as an expert witness in court and/or in depositions.

• Documents and maintains billable hours on a time and expense basis for failure analysis and engineering projects for clients.

• Collaborates with EFI's national team of forensic experts to leverage experiences and assist on projects.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Travels as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required. Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.

Experience
Six (6) years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education required.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and cost of specific location. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $120,000 - $130,000. A comprehensive benefits package is offered including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, 401k and matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, flexible spending or health savings account, and other additional voluntary benefits. We are always accepting applications.
