About the Mechanical Engineer Internship:
Gain hands-on experience reading engineering prints while partnering with operators to analyze manufacturing processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Program structure:
- Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer.
- Location: Cleveland, OH
- Start Date: January 2027
- Duration: Year-round internship
What we're looking for:
Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Ability to succeed in a team environment.
Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Preferred experience:
Advanced Excel and analyst skills.
AutoCAD experience.
Exposure to Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools.
What you'll focus on:
- Organize and maintain electrical and mechanical drawings within our document management system.
- Verify engineering prints accurately reflect current parts and manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the design and development of new parts and components.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity.
